Donate Button and FUNDRAISER info!!!

Everything you need to know about donating and participating in fundraisers:

The Donate Button: If you'll notice, there's now a button to the right that says Donate. It's pretty self explanatory. Click on it and you will be directed to PayPal, where you can donate to our PayPal account. Our PayPal is linked to a savings account. Please note, your donation IS NOT tax deductible. We aren't a non-profit organization. Just two people who desperately want to have a child together. However, we aren't profiting off of your donations either. Any and all money we receive from donations/fundraisers are going into a savings account which we aren't touching until it's time to meet with our RE about IVF. It will then be used for treatment, and the things that insurance won't cover (sonograms that monitor follicle growth, the fertility medications, etc).  
Since the Doante button is through PayPal, not every penny you donate will go directly to us. PayPal of course takes out their fees. If you'd like to get around that and send us your money directly, let me know. We can arrange to meet at one of the fundraisers or I can give you an address to mail it to.


ELLEN SUBMISSION: If you want to help but don't have the money to donate or otherwise can't participate in any fundraisers (and even if you do participate and donate and just want to do a little extra) you can alway write in to Ellen on our behalf. I love Ellen and watch every day. My Ellen obsession began during Danny's chemo treatments when her show was always on the tv in the big chemo rooms and I love seeing all the wonderful things she does for deserving people. It would mean the world to us if she could help us. Or even if she just spread awareness on colon cancer and infertility. CRAWL FOR CANCER ANNOUNCEMENT:
Every dollar raised in June and July, Crawl For Cancer will match!!! Up to $2500, which of course means our goal is the entire $2500!! We are getting closer and closer, and we have over a month to get the rest of the way there (we're over halfway!). LET'S DO IT!!!



Ongoing Fundraisers:
We currently have two ongoing fundraisers!
Bracelets: We ordered personalized bracelets! "Love, Marriage, Cancer... Babies" is printed on them along with a cancer ribbon. They are for sale for $3 each, and we've already sold quite a few! They are for sale at any time (you can send me the money and I will mail them to you) and also at all fundraisers (we will try to be at all of the actual in-person fundraisers so you can meet us, and we'll have lots of bracelets with us there).
Scentsy Fundraiser: This is not an in-person fundraiser, but an online one. You can go to the website at ANY time and place an order for whatever you'd like. The profits go directly to us, instead of the consultant. This is through our friend Tonya who offered the idea immediately after we started our blog. It's a huge hit and that's why it's ongoing. Pampered Chef: Who doesn't love Pampered Chef products?! You'll find everything you could ever want in your kitchen (aside from the kitchen sink... and major appliances that is!) here and we get the commission! The link is here:

Christmas In July Ornaments: Pictures coming soon! We are selling personalized ornaments. Initials, cancer awareness ribbons, etc. Pictures and prices coming soon!
4th of July Cupcakes: I am now taking orders on cupcakes for 4th of July!! $15 per dozen! Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry, with either chocolate or white icing! Red/White/Blue sprinkles on top!!
GARAGE SALE: We are having a garage sale at the end of June (and another in August if we get donations!). If you'd like to donate some of your stuff, we need it by the 27th so it can get priced and set up in time. Let me know if you'd like to donate and we can either meet you somewhere to get your things or I can give you an address to drop it all off at! :)



Future Fundraisers in the making:
Cupcakes cupcakes cupcakes: Our Valentine's Day cupcake sale was a huge success! We are going to try to do a cupcake fundraiser every month! I will post details as soon as I have them.
Quartermania: Who doesn't love Quartermanias?!?! I'm super excited about this one too. I have had a couple people volunteer to be vendors at our quartermania, and we are currently just looking for a place to have ours at!
Raffle/Silent Auction: This may be in conjunction with another fundraiser, like the quartermania. We've had a few people offer up items for a raffle/silent auction. We hope to get more items to raffle off so we can make it a big thing!
Golf Tournament: This idea is still just that... an idea. We are currently looking into prices, etc for a golf tourney fundraiser! No details have been decided on, but once they are I will update everyone!
